Course Overview
Lithium Battery Safety is an online, self-paced awareness course on the lithium-ion batteries that power cordless tools, test equipment and site gear. It is built for electricians and trades workers who charge and handle these batteries every day, and it is short by design: one focused module with a knowledge assessment at the end.
What the module covers
The module runs from what a lithium-ion battery is, through charger compliance and safe charging, to preventing thermal runaway and storing, handling and disposing of batteries safely. The six topics it covers are the same six rows on the signed training record you receive at completion, so what the record says you learned is exactly what the module taught.
This is awareness training focused on everyday charging and handling. It does not cover emergency response, transport of dangerous goods or firefighting; if your work involves those, they need training designed for them.
